Tonight I was the only one to tell Grandpa to take off his own socks with his "grabber" tool like he does in OT to practice. When he said he wouldn't (not couldn't) my mom raced over and took them off for him. Grandpa needs some tough love right now because he's refusing to do things on his own unless people make him. So I stormed out of the room. When I later questioned my mother as to why she, my father or grandmother didn't back me up on the tough love, she said, "Grandpa was getting angry and making his angry face,". To which I replied, "So what? What's the worst he can do, make me cry?". I love grandpa to death and want the best for him, but I'm not scared of him. Yell, scream, get mad....I don't care. I had a third grader threaten to kill me 15 days into my first year of teaching. Bring on the 88 year old!

Season of Disney

Disney News: The Travel Channel is showing a series called the Season of Disney. Apparent it started Friday, April 11th at 9 pm and a show aired every Friday with the last show being this Friday, May 2nd at 9pm. I just caught Samantha Brown's Disney Favs. I love Sam B.

Had a nice and needed visit with the crop girls yesterday. Miss Christina helped me get invitations done! It's Super Saving Sunday and there was my paper with coupons and all right on my door step this morning. I love things that come to your door step like pizza, UPS and Fed Ex packages and the newspaper. I spent only .98 and earned $5 in CVS bucks today and got 2 bottles of all detergent, mascara, a razor and 2 deodorant. Not to bad for a yuck deal week. I'm off to do the laundry!

Happy Birthday Animal Kingdom!

Disney news: It is Animal Kingdoms 10 year anniversary this month! We were there 1 year ago on this very day! A mobile little palm tree actually talked to us specifically. He liked Rick's hat. Just a little Disney magic that you never saw coming!

As some of you know, I have followed in the footsteps of my good friend Erika and become a super saver. I clip coupons, buy when there is a discount and hate paying full price (I've always hated that). This week I got two really good deals. First I order home delivery of the Sunday paper only so I could have my Sunday coupons delivered right to my door. Usually the paper is $1.75. I'm getting $16 weeks of the paper for $16 dollars! You can do the math on the savings. The best part is I don't have to take a shower and run to the store to get the paper just to come back home and cut my coupons. Second I switched my prescription to CVS and as a first time customers I get $25 to spend there! Know if I could only figure out how to save money on saving money?

Grandpa will not be leaving rehab until May 3rd now. He just not independent enough yet. He'll get there!

It's grilling season! Rick and I love the grill. It's the best decision we (I) ever made. I bought a dozen of the most delicious looking ears of corn yesterday at Shaw's. God love corn!

I am thoroughly enjoying my vacation weather. It was snowing less than a month ago and now 86 degrees! I hate winter as much as I love summer.

Resume and cover letter writing is another thing I despise! Yet budget cuts require me to look for a new job. I'd rather do a vlog about why I am a great teacher. It's didn't work for CMO, but it was a lot more fun and interesting.

Disney News: High School Musical 3 is now in production. Rumor has it that it will be in the movie theater instead of the Disney channel. I heart Troy! HEHE

What else would I name my blog?

While some of my blogs will be about Disney, most will be about my life....which revolves around Disney. Although in the last couple of weeks it's been all about Grandpa and Gram. Grandpa broke his leg 2 weeks ago and has been in CMC rehab since. We are hoping he gets out this Saturday. Yesterday he walked with his walker for a while. A good sign but is it good enough to skip a nursing home for extra rehab and go straight home? We'll find out as soon as today! While taking some time off to look after grandpa, the mayor decided to cut $7 million from the school budget which meant cutting my job! I'll probably get it back once the budget is settled, but until then I'm on the job hunt. Of course almost all the job fairs were done and over in March. So once again I'm sending out resumes through the mail. Boy this feels like dejavu! I'm not overly concerned about it. I'm just glad Grandpa's on the mend!

Disney news: Wall.e will be out in theaters on my very last day of school, June 27th. This is the last in a group of movie ideas from Pixar that included Toy Story, Monsters Inc., A Bug's Life and Finding Nemo so how could you go wrong? It's has a great environmental message and a cute robot love story. I expect it will be more comical and endearing than Ratatouille. In my heart there's only room for one lovable rodent!
