Kleb is back in the hoooouuusse...nope I can't pull that off.

Well, my blast from the past continues. O.J. was convicted 13 years to the day that he was acquitted in the first trial. I remember being in Law class in my senior year of high school watching the verdict. Another parallel of high school.

On Thursday I took my students out to morning recess. There were some men from parks and rec working on our playground equipment I went up to one guy to see if the children should stay off the equipment. As I approached him, I notice he looked familiar. I thought I knew who it was but I couldn't believe it so I lift up my sunglasses in disbelief. He looked back at me and said, "I know!" as though I was staring a bit to long. It was Chris my very close friend from high school whom I had not seen in almost 10 years! He was like a brother to me. I had dream about seeing him before which is why I was so shocked. I gave him a big hug and said, "I MISS YOU!". His co-worker probably thought I was insane, but I don't care, it's Chris! If he thought he was going to get away with an 'I know' he was sadly mistaken. Anyway I showed him what needed to be fixed and we chatted about our lives for a bit. It was surreal to see him again. It truly made my day..week...month! I didn't realize there was such a big Chris-shaped hole in my life until I saw him again. Chris, if you did decided to visit my blog, even though we've 'grown up', seeing you took me straight back to high school and being that person again. The person who loves others no matter what they do and forgives. So really Kleb is back! Thanks!

Disney News: You now get into Disney free on your birthday! However Disney will not excuse you form work that day, DANG!

NKOTB part 2

Here is Christina's blog with a link to VH1's live presentation of the New Kids concert that we were at! Knowing most of you, you won't sit through a song, but it does prove that the crazy girls were at the concerts with glitter signs and all!

Disney News: I bet you're wonder how this relates to Disney. Well, the Kids did a special about dreams coming true at MGM studio back in 'the day'. Here a picture of Rick sitting on the same stairs that Joey danced on in the special.

La la la la la Last Night!

Well, I finally got to see the New Kids on the Block in concert. Even though they've been gone 15 years, I felt like no time had passed....literally! There were girls there who has saved their NKOTB gear from 15-20 years ago and were wearing the T-shirt, pins, hat, sweaters and all. Some girls even dressed up in other 80/90s outfits with strup pants, crimped hair and leg warmers. Christina and I felt like we traveled back in time. Except this time around all these Block heads could drink! 30 year old with alochol who think they are 15 again. Bad combo! While our concert mates were scary and loud, we still had an awesome time. I never thought I'd get the chance to see these boys in concert again. And I got to down the hand wave thing during Hangin' Tough. My life is now complete! Thanks for getting such awesome seats, Tiner!

High School Memories

Your High School's Name-Manchester High School West (i.e. West High)

High School Colors- Blue and White

High School Mascot- a knight

Did you date anyone from your school? Ummm, Mike Cote for like a week. That was it. I did chase the boys though. First Brad then 3 years of Adam. Ahhhhh, Adam!

What kind of car did you drive? I dove an '83 Chevette which we all called the blue flame. Crank windows, no A/C or power steering and it burned oil like it was going out of style (thus the blue smoke out the tail pipe and the nickname).

It's Friday night where are you? Junior and Senior year I was at parties, church dances, or hangin' out with Chantal, Chris, Ethan, and other friends.

Were you a party animal? Not according to the other kids at school. drinking=partying at West.

Were you considered a flirt? I don't think so but I was boy crazy

Were you in band, orchestra, choir, or any other group? Choir all four years.

Were you in any clubs? Nope unless working at Clark's farm was a club considering all the girls who worked there went to West, including Chantal. Yes, she and I did almost everything together!

Did you ever get suspended or expelled? Seeing as I got naousious when I went past the Principal's office, I'll have to go with no.

Can you still sing the fight song? There is a school song, but it was by no means a fight song. I can sing it because the choir had to memorize it.

Who were your favorite teachers? Mr. Lubelysck - Law. He was every one's favorite who had him.

Where did you sit during lunch? Freshman year - with Kirsten, Danielle, Dianne and a host of others. Most other lunches are a blur except Senior year I had 3 lunches. One with Chantal and crew, one with Chris, Brandon, Vince and others and I can't remember the other one.

Who did you go to Homecoming with? We didn't have homecoming.

Who did you go to Prom with? Brandon and John.

If you could go back and re-do high school would you? Just Senior year!!

What do you remember about Graduation? I have to copy Chantal on this one. <> Chantal - Holly gave us the flowers.

Do you plan on going to your 10 year reunion, or if you already went what was it like? I happened. They wanted big amounts of money to go. I was all set.

What's with the Disney obsession? I like to call it a passion!

I've had more than one person ask my where my passion for Disney came from. Until now I wasn't sure. I thought maybe from my Uncle's family who traveled to Disney constantly and told great stories. But I refocused the questions: Why am I an 8 year old in a 30 year old body? I really am. When an 8 year old is in the room, they are sooo much more interesting to talk to than most adults. Karen can verify this fact as Katie and I hit it off every time. Did something happen when I was 8? Many things happened. First my youngest sister was born when I was 8. My mom stayed home with her and my middle sister. I would cry and scream when I had to go the school. I came home 'sick' many days that year. I hated going to school, not because of school, but I think because I wanted to be home sharing time with mom just like my sisters. Mom had to work when I was little and I didn't get that one-on-one time. Now I don't blame my parents for any of this. It's just an observation. So I think I'm frozen at age 8 to make up for this time.

Also in the Mormon religion, you are baptised at 8 years old. This significance of this is that at 8 your are able to choose right from wrong and you're on the hook for all wrong decision. That's a lot of pressure on an 8 year old especially one who has two little sisters looking up to her. I am sure that neither of these thoughts occurred to me at the time they were happening. However I am glad they happened. Would I be a second grade teacher if they hadn't? Would I wear Crocs with Mickey mouse holes or had gotten married in Disney? A little childhood trauma isn't always bad!

Disney News: Walle will come out on DVD Nov 17th!

True family spirit!

I found this blog through a link at Chantal's website. This is the true example of family. This is how people react in a crisis. I grew up in the Mormon faith. These are people truly understand how to honor and live by the beliefs they study and talk about daily. This is the type of reaction I hoped for from my extended family in Utah and the type of reaction I received from my family and friends here when Grandpa fell again and all financial resources needed to be saved. This family embodies the Mormon religion as far as I am concerned. This is what families are all about. I wish more people (especially those who I have to deal with) would realize that. Please donate to this cause if you can. Christian and Stephanie seem like very special people!

Not another test!

Grandpa's still on the mend. School has started and it seems to be a calm class who listens (so far). That's something new and different.

Some of you may remember my post when I was on myspace.com about the movie Evan Almighty. In it the wife of Evan, who is the mom from Gilmore Girls, asks that her family become closer. In response God (Morgan Freeman) challenges their family with building an ark and the neighborhood thinks they are crazy so she gives up. I like this idea of earning things you asks for through being tested. I haven't have many big tests in my life and never claim to have the huge tests that others do, but it makes me appreciate the little things I do go through. I'm proud of myself for coming out the other side with integrity and dignity intact. I didn't stoop to levels of hurting others or saying negative things. Being positive and only taking in positive things helped me handle the situation with a higher standard than others and set an example for others around me. What did I gain? Financial security for my grandparents. It's a war that I don't think is over, but it is worth the fight.

Disney News: 2 singles have been released from High School Musical 3's soundtrack! See the movie Oct 23!
